                Why Hire a Virtual Assistant?

Many small business owners find themselves stuck at their desk all day long. It's not that they planned it this way. When they started  their business, they set out to give the best of the best to their clients. And yet here they are multi-tasking and spreading themselves way too thin. They are CEO, CFO, CIO, CTO, CSO and CKO all wrapped up in one.

When a small business finds itself buried under paperwork, with the business owner realizing that there are just not enough hours in a day, they are faced with a choice. Do they hire a staff to help out? This is the first thought that comes to mind, and perhaps the one that seems most practical. After all, hiring a staff will make their jobs easier and give them that all-important time that they have  needed for so long.

Nonetheless, when they decide to hire a staff, they need to consider wages. If wages were all that they had to worry about, some would stop there and hire a staff. It would be well worth it to them. The problem is that with employees come benefits and responsibilities. Overhead might be the  first thing that will make or break this decision. Does the small business owner have the means to provide office space, expensive equipment, and utility bills. Additionally, the cost of  medical, dental, and vision care benefits, social security taxes, and worker's compensation insurance has to be considered. Pursuing this further, this business owner has to factor in vacation time, sick pay, down time, and breaks. What started out as one simple decision now becomes much more complicated.

However, let's explore another possibility. What if the same business owner hired a virtual assistant.

The business owner must now consider the same things: Wages, overhead, insurance, and employee benefits. This time, though, the figures will be quite different. With a virtual assistant, he/she only has to consider wages and materials. No employee benefits, insurance, or overhead.
